Over the past week, people from all around the world had the opportunity to witness this celestial spectacle that occurs once a year.
The photo was taken in Shiraz, Iran, and showcases the Perseid meteors cutting across the Milky Way in the northern hemisphere, just before the dawn of Sunday, August 13th. The image was composed from frames captured between 2:00 and 4:30 in the morning, local time, during the peak of the meteor shower.
